Volleyball Recap: Arlington Takes a Loss

Arlington lost against Kalida back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Red Devils came up short against the Wildcats, falling 3-0.

Arlington was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-15, 25-15.

Callie Hartman paced Arlington's offense, picking up eight kills. Hartman got some help from Ellie Marquart and her 26 assists.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Kalida to victory, but perhaps none more so than Sophie Vorst, who had four digs and three aces.

Arlington now has a losing record of 7-8. As for Kalida, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-2.

Coming up, Arlington will host Arcadia at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Kalida, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Miller City at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
