Basketball Recap: St. John's Christian Academy Cavaliers vs. Andrew Jackson Academy Warriors

The St. John's Christian Academy Cavaliers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They came out on top against Andrew Jackson Academy by a score of 74-65. That's two games straight that St. John's Christian Academy has won by exactly nine points.

St. John's Christian Academy found their leader in underclassman Thomas Hester, who scored 28 points. That makes it five consecutive games in which Hester has scored at least a third of St. John's Christian Academy's points. Tradd Law was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.

Andrew Jackson Academy's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Hayden McClung, who almost dropped a double-double on 20 points and nine rebounds. Another player making a difference was Gage Dicks, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds.

Even though they lost, Andrew Jackson Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 25 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
