Soccer Game Preview: Gateway vs. Aurora Central

The Gateway Olympians will challenge the Aurora Central Trojans at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Aurora Central took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Gateway, who comes in off a win.

Gateway's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They came out on top against Overland by a score of 2-0. Gateway haven't had any issues with Overland recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Yarely Portillo and Sa'Mya Shazier scored both of Gateway's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 11 goals.

Meanwhile, Aurora Central has been on a difficult stretch since their win on March 20. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of Skyview on Thursday.

Gateway's win bumped their record up to 7-1-3. As for Aurora Central, their loss dropped their record down to 1-7-3.

Gateway got the 'W' in their previous meeting on April 2nd against Aurora Central by a conclusive 3-0 score. Do the Olympians have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Trojans turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
