Indiana and Knoch are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2016, but likely not for long. The Little Indians will head out to challenge the Knights at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Indiana comes in on five and Knoch on 11.
16 must be Indiana's lucky number: they beat Valley with that score not once but twice on Wednesday. The Little Indians never let the Vikings get on the board and left with a 16-0 win. That 16 run margin sets a new team best for the Little Indians this season.

Kaylee Cass made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out six batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Those six strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and one run.
In other batting news, Indiana got a massive performance out of Maggie Cunningham, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and one double. That's the most RBI Cunningham has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Addie Stossel, who went 1-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one double.
Meanwhile, Knoch made easy work of Derry on Thursday and carried off an 8-1 victory. The Knights might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 matches by seven runs or more this season.
Like Indiana, Knoch also got a great game from a two-way player: Marlee Fraser. She struck out ten batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits (and only one walk). Fraser has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in two of her four plate appearances with one run and one RBI.
In other batting news, Alena Tekely was excellent, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and one run. Emersyn Jones was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Knoch pushed their record up to 12-1 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.7 runs on average over those games. As for Indiana, their record is now 6-8.
Indiana might still be hurting after the 16-1 loss they got from Knoch in their previous matchup two weeks ago. Can the Little Indians avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
