Basketball Recap: Cleveland Comes Up Short

Cleveland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 46th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Lumberton Raiders, falling 47-24. While losing is never fun, the Indians can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1393rd, while the Raiders are ranked 537th).

Cleveland's loss dropped their record down to 0-19. As for Lumberton, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 14-6.

Cleveland won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Navasota at 10:20 a.m. on Saturday. As for Lumberton, they will also get right back to it: they'll square off against Hardin at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
