Soccer Game Preview: York vs. Benet Academy

The York Dukes will take on the Benet Academy Redwings in a tournament on Friday.

York fell victim to Barrington and their airtight defense on Thursday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Fillies/Broncos. York have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Benet Academy entered their tilt with Saint Viator on Tuesday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They never let the Lions get on the board and left with a 2-0 win. Benet Academy's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last four matchups.

Meghan Sarros and Ivana Vukas scored both of Benet Academy's goals, bringing their combined season tally to seven goals.

York's loss dropped their record down to 4-3-2. As for Benet Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 7-2-2.
