Soccer Recap: West Point Falls to Winona in First Game of Season

West Point had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was the Winona Tigers who were credited with the win on Tuesday. The Winona Tigers got it done in the shootout by posting three goals to the West Point Green Wave's two. West Point were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Winona apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2015.

Coming up, West Point will host Vardaman at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Winona will be paying especially close attention to the Green Wave's match: after the Green Wave face off against the Rams, they'll take on Winona again at 7:00 p.m. on November 11.
