Midfield is 7-0 against Childersburg since January of 2023 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Midfield Patriots will venture away from home to take on the Childersburg Tigers at 7:30 p.m. Midfield is coming into the contest hot, having won their last six games.

Midfield saw some tournament action on Saturday. They snuck past Wekiva with a 59-54 victory. Given the Patriots' advantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 40th in Alabama, while the Mustangs are ranked 308th in Florida), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Childersburg hadn't done well against Talladega recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Childersburg secured a 59-55 W over Talladega. The win was nothing new for Childersburg as they're now sitting on five straight.

Midfield has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season. As for Childersburg, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-7.

Everything came up roses for Midfield against Childersburg when the teams last played back in February, as the squad secured a 75-46 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Midfield since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
