With a playoff win on the line, Strom Thurmond rose to the challenge on Saturday. They enjoyed a cozy 26-7 victory over the Hampton County Hurricanes. Winning may never get old, but the Rebels sure are getting used to it with their tenth in a row.

Deonte Phillips had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 149 yards and two TDs. Those 149 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Bri'Shaun Lee, who threw for 126 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes.

Strom Thurmond didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Jalin Collins and Shaheed Williams.

Strom Thurmond's win bumped their record up to 13-2. As for Hampton County, the defeat snapped their winning streak at eight games and leaves them with a 11-4 record.

As of now, neither Strom Thurmond nor the Hurricanes have any future games scheduled.
