Softball Recap: Bartram Trail Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Bartram Trail extended their losing streak to three on Thursday, dropping them down to 5-5. They came up short against the Columbia Tigers, falling 14-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Bears have suffered since April 21, 2025.

Bartram Trail saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Andi Gooch, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

As for Columbia, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.1 runs over those games.

On Columbia's side, they let Luisa Taylor and Josie Raulerson run wild. Taylor went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one double, while Raulerson went 3-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. That's the most RBI Taylor has posted since back in April of 2025. Emily Delgado was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Bartram Trail has already played their next matchup, a 12-11 victory against Union County on the 20th. As for Columbia, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 19-6 win against Lafayette on the 20th.
