Softball Recap: Naugatuck Greyhounds vs. Woodland Regional Hawks

Naugatuck extended their losing streak to four on Saturday, dropping their season record down to 10-12 in the process. They lost 13-1 to the Woodland Regional Hawks. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Hawks this season, with their most recent defeat being a 14-0 loss back in April.

Naugatuck saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Amanda Torrens, who went 1-for-3 with one run.

As for Woodland Regional, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 21-0. Considering they have won 19 contests by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

On Woodland Regional's side, Angelena Tottenham was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Another player making a difference was Caitlyn Braun, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI and two runs.

As of now, neither Naugatuck nor Woodland Regional have any future games scheduled.
