Basketball Game Preview: Music Mountain Warriors vs. Grand Canyon Phantoms

The Music Mountain Warriors are taking a road trip to square off against the Grand Canyon Phantoms at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Music Mountain's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four contests.

Music Mountain is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against Seligman on Tuesday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Music Mountain lost 82-59 to Seligman. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Saturday (58), the Warriors still had to take the loss.

Meanwhile, Grand Canyon took a blow against Williams on Saturday, falling 81-44.

Music Mountain's defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 7-10. As for Grand Canyon, their loss dropped their record down to 1-11.

Music Mountain took their win against Grand Canyon in their previous meeting back in December of 2024 by a conclusive 75-54. The rematch might be a little tougher for Music Mountain since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
