Basketball Recap: Springfield Southeast Comes Up Short

Springfield Southeast was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They were dealt a 77-35 loss at the hands of the MacArthur Generals. While losing is never fun, the Spartans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 524th, while the Generals are ranked 72nd).

Springfield Southeast's defeat dropped their record down to 3-22. As for MacArthur, they pushed their record up to 18-7 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Springfield Southeast will venture away from home to challenge Glenwood at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for MacArthur, they will head out to face off against Rochester at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
