Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Grantsville walked away with it. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the North Sanpete Hawks on Thursday. The victory was nothing new for the Cowboys as they're now sitting on eight straight.

Hunter Powell paced Grantsville's offense, picking up 16 kills. Powell got some help from Isaac Nordgren and his 34 assists. Nordgren was also solid from the service line: he led the team with three aces.

Despite the loss, North Sanpete still got an impressive performance from Bradley Strange, who had 21 digs.

Grantsville now has a winning record of 16-15. As for North Sanpete, they moved to 18-13 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Grantsville has already played their next match, a 3-2 defeat against Morgan on the 8th. As for North Sanpete, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-1 loss against Salt Lake Academy on the 8th.
