Recap: Canyon Cougars vs. Lake Travis Cavaliers
The Canyon Cougars's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They were outmatched by Lake Travis on the road and fell 63-36. While losing is never fun, Canyon can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1090th, while Lake Travis is ranked second).
Hudson Greer was his usual excellent self, scoring 35 points for Lake Travis. The match was Greer's tenth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jayden Thomas, who scored 9 points.
Canyon's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Lake Travis, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 10-0.
Canyon is on the road again on Friday and play against Midway at 9:00 a.m. on December 1st. As for Lake Travis, they will square off against McNeil at 12:00 p.m. on Friday.
