Soccer Game Preview: Marquette vs. Union

The Marquette Mustangs will head out on the road to square off against the Union Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Union took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Marquette, who comes in off a win.

Marquette will bounce into Tuesday's match after beating Eureka, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. The Mustangs came out on top in a nail-biter against the Wildcats on Thursday, sneaking past 2-1. The win was a breath of fresh air for Marquette as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Monday just wasn't the day for Union's offense. They fell just short of Helias by a score of 1-0 on Monday.

Union's loss dropped their record down to 9-7-1. As for Marquette, their victory bumped their record up to 8-5.

Marquette beat Union 3-1 in their previous matchup back in March of 2019. Do the Mustangs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wildcats turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
