Basketball Recap: Garrard County Triumphs

Garrard County lost to Martin County back in December of 2015, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Golden Lions came out on top against the Cardinals by a score of 50-42. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Golden Lions.

The win got Garrard County back to even at 5-5. As for Martin County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-3.

Garrard County and Martin County will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next contests. The next time the Golden Lions see the court they'll take on Estill County at 1:00 p.m. on the 31st. As for Martin County, their break will end when they face Knox Central at 3:30 p.m. on January 10, 2026.
