Maumelle never let their opponents score on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over the Palestine-Wheatley Patriots. The result was nothing new for the Hornets, who have now won four contests by six runs or more so far this season.

The victory was the fifth in a row for Maumelle, bringing their record up to 5-2. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. As for Palestine-Wheatley, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-6.
