Basketball Game Preview: Maple Heights Mustangs vs. Bard Early College Raptors

Having just played yesterday, the Maple Heights Mustangs will head out on the road to face off against the Bard Early College Raptors at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.

On Wednesday, Maple Heights took a blow against Warrensville Heights, falling 59-10. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 606th, while the Tigers are ranked 87th).

Meanwhile, Bard Early College narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past John Adams 32-30.

This is the second loss in a row for Maple Heights and nudges their season record down to 8-8. As for Bard Early College, their victory bumped their record up to 5-8.

Everything came up roses for Maple Heights against Bard Early College in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, as the team secured a 63-19 win. In that match, Maple Heights amassed a halftime lead of 36-11, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Thursday.
