Softball Recap: Baldwyn Takes a Loss

Baldwyn might've scored the first runs on Friday, but it was Alcorn Central who claimed the real prize. The Baldwyn Bearcats fell just short of the Alcorn Central Bears by a score of 7-6. The Bearcats' loss continues a trend for the team, making it three in a row.

Caroline Craven made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and one triple.

Baldwyn's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Alcorn Central, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-6 record this season.

A feisty cat fight will be fought as Baldwyn Bearcats duke it out with Jumpertown Cardinals at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Alcorn Central, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 5-3 victory against New Albany on the 14th.
