Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Covington walked away with it. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 1-0 win over the Slidell Tigers on Friday. Winning may never get old, but the Lions sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

Covington's victory bumped their record up to 18-22. As for Slidell, their loss ended a six-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 32-8.

As of now, neither Covington nor the Tigers have any future games scheduled.
