Baseball Recap: Monte Vista Christian Gets the Win

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Monte Vista Christian and Watsonville, and Monte Vista Christian kept the tradition alive. The Monte Vista Christian Mustangs' pitcher stepped up to hand the Watsonville Wildcatz a 6-0 shutout on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Mustangs in their matchups with the Wildcatz: they've now won seven in a row.

Watsonville's batters probably weren't too happy with Aidan Miller, who pitched a no hitter and racked up 11 Ks (he gave up a single walk).

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Carter Wright, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Brady Cortez, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Monte Vista Christian hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Watsonville struck out 11 times.
