Shawnee Mission North gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Thursday. They really took it to the Wyandotte Bulldogs for the full four quarters, racking up a 55-25 victory. The Bison haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Shawnee Mission North got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Tamiah Washington out in front who went 8-for-14 en route to 21 points and five steals. Another player making a difference was Rey-Auna Haywood, who shot 50% from the field to rack up 17 points and three steals.

Shawnee Mission North was working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Wyandotte only posted three.

Several Bulldogs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jocelyn Carrera, who posted seven points in addition to five rebounds and three blocks.

Shawnee Mission North didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 68-55 loss against Pittsburg on the 6th. As for Wyandotte, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 56-2 win against Schlagle on the 9th.
