Baseball Recap: Lexington Takes a Loss

Lexington fell victim to McNairy Central and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They took a 5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bobcats. The Tigers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Bobcats earlier this season, when they won 4-1.

Lexington saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Russell Wilson, who went 1-for-3 with one double. That double was Wilson's first of the season.

Lexington has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season. McNairy Central's record is now 8-5.

Coincidentally, Lexington and McNairy Central will both be playing Trinity Christian Academy the next time they take the field. Lexington will head out to face Trinity Christian Academy at 6:05 p.m. on Thursday, while McNairy Central will host them at 6:20 p.m. on Friday.
