Baseball Game Preview: Marcus Marauders vs. Stillwater Pioneers

The Marcus Marauders will face off against the Stillwater Pioneers at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Marcus' pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 12-0 margin over Lewisville. The win continues a trend for the Marauders in their matchups with the Farmers: they've now won four in a row.

Meanwhile, Stillwater had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16.7 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Thursday. They blew past the Wildcats 11-2. 11 seems to be a good number for the Pioneers as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Stillwater's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-2. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Marcus, their victory bumped their record up to 6-2.
