Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Young Women's STEAM Research & Preparatory Academy walked away with it. Everything went their way against the Fabens Wildcats on Thursday as they made off with a 21-11 win. The Warriors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 games by eight runs or more this season.

Young Women's STEAM Research & Preparatory Academy let Destiny Licon and Adriana Torres run wild. Licon got on base in four of her six plate appearances with five RBI, three runs, and one triple, while Torres got on base in four of her six plate appearances with four runs, five RBI, and one triple. That's the most RBI Torres has posted since back in February. The team also got some help courtesy of Nidia Fierro, who got on base in four of her six plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI.

Young Women's STEAM Research & Preparatory Academy always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .692. They are a perfect 11-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Young Women's STEAM Research & Preparatory Academy is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-8 record this season.
