Soccer Game Preview: Timpview vs. Payson

The Timpview Thunderbirds will square off against the Payson Lions at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Timpview managed to keep up with Salem Hills until halftime on Tuesday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Thunderbirds came up short against the Skyhawks, falling 4-0. Timpview haven't had much luck with Salem Hills recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Meanwhile, while it was all tied up 0-0 at halftime, Payson was not quite Spanish Fork's equal in the second half on Tuesday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dons.

Payson's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Timpview, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5.
