Recap: Westminster School at Oak Mountain Knights vs. Cornerstone Eagles

Even though the Westminster School at Oak Mountain Knights have not done well against the Cornerstone Eagles recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Westminster School at Oak Mountain snuck past Cornerstone with a 59-53 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Westminster School at Oak Mountain.

Cornerstone's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jacob May, who scored ten points along with five rebounds and two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Jermaine Holder, who scored nine points along with three steals.

Westminster School at Oak Mountain's victory bumped their record up to 7-15. As for Cornerstone, their loss dropped their record down to 5-13.

Westminster School at Oak Mountain the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Vincent at 7:00 p.m. on January 24th. As for Cornerstone, they will head out on the road to face off against Altamont at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Alabama (Altamont is ranked 265th, while Cornerstone is ranked 280th).
