Basketball Recap: South Bend Adams Takes a Loss

South Bend Adams was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Andrean Fighting 59ers and fell 77-44. The Eagles were not able to make up for their loss to the Fighting 59ers from their previous meeting back in February of 2023.

South Bend Adams lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Johnny Anella, who went 5 of 11 en route to 10 points and seven rebounds. Those ten points gave Anella a new career-high. Drew Dixon was another key player, putting up 15 points and seven boards.

South Bend Adams' defeat dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Andrean, they pushed their record up to 8-5 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road.

South Bend Adams will take on Elkhart at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. South Bend Adams is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 57.6 points per game this season. As for Andrean, they will square off against Highland at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
