Basketball Recap: Corry Beavers vs. Union City Bears
Corry posted their biggest victory since January 26th on Friday. They breezed by the Union City Bears to the tune of 77-50. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Beavers.
Union City lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Trevin Capela, who went 5 for 10 en route to 13 points plus seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Elijah Troyer, who earned 11 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Corry's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Union City, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Corry will challenge Clymer Central at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Union City, they will take on Jamestown at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
