Soccer Game Preview: Fairview vs. Denver North

The Fairview Knights will square off against the Denver North Vikings at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Fairview is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Colorado's top teams: Ralston Valley, who was ranked third at the time (Fairview was ranked 12th). The Knights had just enough and edged out the Mustangs 2-1 on Saturday. The result kept Fairview happy, as they haven't lost a game since March 31st.

Charlie Aitken and Quinn Holderman scored both of Fairview's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 12 goals.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Denver North, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. Their defense stepped up to hand Montbello a 10-0 shutout on Thursday. The result was nothing new for Denver North, who have now won eight matchups by five goals or more so far this season.

Denver North has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-3-2 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 35 goals over those five matches. As for Fairview, their victory bumped their record up to 9-3-3.
