Basketball Recap: Johnson Creek Comes Up Short

Johnson Creek was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 77-62 to the Abundant Life Challengers, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bluejays of the 82-69 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

Johnson Creek now has a losing record at 4-5. As for Abundant Life, their win was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Johnson Creek will host Palmyra-Eagle at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Palmyra-Eagle will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something Johnson Creek surely won't give up without a fight. As for Abundant Life, they will be playing at home against Madison Country Day at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.
