Wyoming East is a perfect 9-0 against Mingo Central since March of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Wyoming East Warriors will venture away from home to challenge the Mingo Central Miners at 7:30 p.m. Wyoming East will be strutting in after a victory while Mingo Central will be coming in after a defeat.

Last Friday, Wyoming East strolled past Mount View with points to spare, taking the game 62-44. That's two games straight that the Warriors have won by exactly 18 points.

Meanwhile, Mingo Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were outmatched by Tug Valley and fell 99-67. While losing is never fun, the Miners can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' West Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 98th, while the Panthers are ranked 15th).

The win made it two in a row for Wyoming East and bumps their season record up to 11-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.0 points over those games. As for Mingo Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-15.

Everything came up roses for Wyoming East against Mingo Central in their previous meeting back in January, as the team secured a 74-36 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Wyoming East since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
