Softball Recap: Atkins Snaps Five-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

Monday just wasn't the day for Atkins's offense. They lost 15-0 to the Glenn Bobcats on Monday. Having soared to a lofty 19 runs in the game before, the Camels' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Atkins' loss ended a five-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 1-3. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Glenn, their record is now 3-4.

When Atkins and Glenn next hit the field, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Atkins will take on Walkertown and their five-game winning streak at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Atkins is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road dating back to last season. Similarly, Glenn will try to stop West Forsyth's seven-game winning streak when they meet at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
