Soccer Recap: Fairfield Comes Up Short

After flying high against Central Lee on Monday, Fairfield came back down to earth. The Trojans came up short against the Assumption Knights on Wednesday, falling 12-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Fairfield of the 10-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in June of 2017.

Fairfield's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-11-1. As for Assumption, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 12-7-1.

Fairfield does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Assumption, they will look to defend their home pitch on Wednesday against Washington. Washington will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Assumption surely won't give up without a fight.
