Cypress Creek and Cy-Fair are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2019, but likely not for long. The Cougars will challenge the Bobcats at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Cypress Creek is headed into the matchup having just suffered their closest defeat since February 13th on Tuesday. They fell just short of Memorial by a score of 9-7. The loss continues a trend for the Cougars in their meetings with the Mustangs: they've now lost eight in a row.

Kamryn Lincoln put in work no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed four innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. Lincoln was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, Brianna Arevalo made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Avery Fogleman, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI.

Meanwhile, after a string of five wins, Cy-Fair's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell just short of Stratford by a score of 3-2.

Cy-Fair's defeat dropped their record down to 16-8. As for Cypress Creek, their loss dropped their record down to 10-13-1.

Cypress Creek skirted past Cy-Fair 8-7 in their previous meeting back in March. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cougars since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
