Basketball Recap: Poolesville Victorious

Poolesville won the last time they faced Churchill, and Alexavier Saunders did his part to make sure it happened again. The Poolesville Falcons came out on top against the Churchill Bulldogs by a score of 57-44 on Saturday thanks in part to Saunders, who went 7 for 9 from beyond the arc en route to 26 points and three blocks. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Poolesville's points.

Armaan Jain was another key player, putting up four points. What's more, he also racked up two steals, the most he's had since back in December of 2023.

Poolesville's record is now 5-8. As for Churchill, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-8.

Poolesville has already played their next matchup (against Gaithersburg), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Churchill has also has no score uploaded for their next game, this one against Richard Montgomery.
