Volleyball Recap: Sturgeon Bay Comes Up Short

Sturgeon Bay was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Little Chute Mustangs. The Clippers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Mustangs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Miya Nell paced Sturgeon Bay's offense, picking up six kills. Nell got some help from Makenna Coyhis and her 13 assists. Reen Walker controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Sturgeon Bay's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Little Chute, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.

Sturgeon Bay has already played their next matchup, a 2-1 defeat against Seymour on the 2nd. As for Little Chute, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Pulaski on the 2nd.
