Basketball Game Preview: Central Wise Warriors vs. Union Bears

Central Wise is 9-1 against Union since January of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Central Wise Warriors will venture away from home to take on the Union Bears at 6:00 p.m. Central Wise is coming into the match hot, having won their last four games.

Central Wise will head into Thursday's game hoping to keep the good times rolling: they had to skate by with only a two-point margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 49-point drubbing they dealt Twin Springs on Thursday. Central Wise claimed a resounding 71-22 win over Twin Springs. The Warriors have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 contests by 21 points or more this season.

Central Wise's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Emmah McAmis, who posted 27 points. McAmis' evening made it 19 games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Abbie Jordan, who earned 18 points.

Meanwhile, Union hadn't done well against Ridgeview recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Union managed a 51-45 win over Ridgeview.

Union's record now sits at 5-12. As for Central Wise, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 18-2 record this season.

Central Wise came out on top in a nail-biter against Union in their previous meeting on Wednesday, sneaking past 53-51. The rematch might be a little tougher for Central Wise since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
