Basketball Game Preview: New Town vs. Catonsville Comets

New Town will face off against the Catonsville Comets at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Catonsville took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on New Town, who comes in off a win.

New Town is headed into the contest having just posted their biggest win since February 12, 2024 on Monday. They blew past Kenwood 61-12. New Town has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matchups by 28 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Catonsville was beaten by Pikesville 60-18 on Monday. The Comets haven't had much luck with the Panthers recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.

The victory got New Town back to even at 6-6-1. As for Catonsville, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-6.

New Town beat Catonsville 44-34 in their previous matchup back in January of 2024. Will New Town repeat their success, or does Catonsville have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
