Woodsboro hasn't had much luck against Kenedy recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Eagles will face off against the Lions at 7:00 p.m. Woodsboro will be strutting in after a victory while Kenedy will be coming in after a defeat.
Woodsboro will roll into the matchup after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any runs last Friday, then bounced right back against Skidmore-Tynan on Friday. The Eagles were the clear victors by a 15-2 margin over the Bobcats.

Cole Thompson was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (five). He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Cole Spalek, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with seven RBI, two stolen bases, and two runs. Woodsboro is 2-1 when Spalek posts two or more runs, but 3-9 otherwise. Jordan Vega was another key player, scoring four runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.
Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Kenedy's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell just short of Agua Dulce by a score of 16-15.
Daniel Pena and Joel Garcia stepped up to the plate in a big way. Pena scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in four of his six plate appearances, while Garcia scored three runs and stole three bases while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Rayden Renya, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-4.
Woodsboro's record now sits at 5-10. As for Kenedy, their loss dropped their record down to 13-6.
Tuesday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Woodsboro has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .461. However, it's not like Kenedy struggles in that department as they've averaged .446. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Woodsboro might still be hurting after the 20-0 defeat they got from Kenedy when the teams last played back in March. Can the Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
