With a playoff win on the line, North Warren Central rose to the challenge on Friday. They snuck past the Maple Hill Wildcats with a 54-49 win. Winning may never get old, but the Cougars sure are getting used to it with their seventh in a row.

North Warren Central's victory bumped their record up to 16-6. As for Maple Hill, they moved to 14-8 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Looking ahead, North Warren Central will challenge Berne-Knox-Westerlo at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Berne-Knox-Westerlo's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. Maple Hill does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
