Volleyball Recap: Cherokee Bluff Bears vs. Oconee County Warriors
If Cherokee Bluff was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of East Hall on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Bears fell 3-1 to the Oconee County Warriors on Wednesday. The Bears were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Warriors earlier this season, when they won 2-0.
Brooklyn Knight paced Cherokee Bluff's offense, picking up 12 kills. Knight got some help from Kailyn Williams and her 19 assists. Darina Leonova and Bella Sweet kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.
Oconee County's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Sidney Tranel, who had eight digs and two aces.
