It may have taken ten innings to finish the job, but Plainfield North ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They had just enough and edged out the Plainfield Central Wildcats 6-5. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Plainfield North has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-14 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.2 runs on average over those games. As for Plainfield Central, they now have a losing record of 11-12-1.
