Crescent Valley lost a close one when they played last Friday but unfortunately for them the loss they were handed on Friday was a bit more commanding. They came up short against the Lebanon Warriors, falling 50-27. The Raiders just can't catch a break and have now endured four defeats in a row.
Zeke Thomas and Truman Brasfield certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Thomas threw for 220 yards and three touchdowns, while Brasfield picked up 122 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Brasfield's receiving production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 122 receiving yards.
Crescent Valley wouldn't let Lebanon keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force two fumbles. Jacoby Jones was the leader in that area as all came courtesy of his dominant performance. He also set a new season high mark in total tackles with ten.
Crescent Valley's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Lebanon, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-3.
Crescent Valley and Corvallis are set to duel on Friday. Crescent Valley is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 29.2 points per game this season. As for Lebanon, they will face off against Dallas at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Dallas' defense has only allowed 11.1 points per game this season, so Lebanon's offense will have their work cut out for them.
