Softball Recap: Desert Hot Springs Comes Up Short

Desert Hot Springs was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 14-1 to the La Sierra Eagles. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Golden Eagles of the 9-4 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2015.

Desert Hot Springs' loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for La Sierra, their victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Desert Hot Springs will hit the road for the first time this season to face off against Perris at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for La Sierra, they will head out to square off against Pacific at 3:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
