Basketball Recap: Griswold Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Griswold came into Thursday's matchup having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with a 62-55 victory over Heartland Christian on Thursday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 56-47 back in December of 2024.

Griswold's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-8. As for Heartland Christian, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season.

Griswold won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against East Mills at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. East Mills knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matches -- so hopefully Griswold likes a good challenge. As for Heartland Christian, they will face off against College View Academy on Monday.
