Softball Recap: Stevenson's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

Stevenson was the 4-3 winner over King City when they last played one another back in May of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. Stevenson fell just short of King City by a score of 11-10 on Tuesday. The loss put an end to the Pirates' undefeated start to the season.

Maria Hall made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored three runs while going 3-for-4. Sabrina Hardin was another key player, scoring three runs while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.

Hall wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Stevenson kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since the start of last season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Stevenson fell to 2-1. As for King City, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 4-4 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Stevenson will face off against Soledad at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for King City, they will venture away from home to face off against Atascadero at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. King City is facing Atascadero at the right time seeing as Atascadero is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
