Softball Recap: Forsyth Home Educators Comes Up Short

It was a Battle of the Birds when Forsyth Home Educators challenged East Davidson on Monday. The Hawks took an 8-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Golden Eagles. The Hawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ella Beaver made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double.

Forsyth Home Educators' defeat dropped their record down to 10-6. As for East Davidson, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-6.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Forsyth Home Educators will welcome Ambassador Christian School at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Lions have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 15.67 runs per game on average), something the Hawks will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for East Davidson, they will challenge Salisbury at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Golden Eagles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Hornets have averaged an impressive 9.9 runs per game this season.
