Baseball Recap: Garfield Takes a Loss

Garfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 6-2 to the Hawthorne Bears. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bears this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 13-2 two weeks ago.

Garfield's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Hawthorne, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-2.

Garfield has already played their next match, an 11-4 win against Lodi on the 15th. As for Hawthorne, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 14-0 victory against Paterson Charter School for Science and Technology on the 15th.
